Dr. Shelley Mackaman
Clinical Psychologist
Specializing in the needs of children, teenagers and families.
About
Shelley Mackaman graduated from the University of South Florida in 1982 with a degree in Psychology and went on to earn her Masters in Counseling from the University of North Florida. She completed her doctorate with an emphasis in Child and Family at the California School of Professional Psychology.
Dr. Shelley’s early emphasis was in mental health, family therapy, and child guidance, and later expanded into medical and developmental disorders. Her experience spans a wide array of settings — schools, childcare facilities, mental health clinics, and hospitals, in inner city, suburban and rural settings. In private practice, she uses an integrated, multi-disciplinary approach to help children develop their strengths and to teach parents the skills to carry forward from the therapist’s office into the home environment.
She has raised two beautiful daughters, both now young adults.
